Buffy Scholar/Critic

Mr. David Perry graduated with honors from the University of Memphis in 1988 with a BA in Communication Arts with an Emphasis on Film and Video Production. At the U of M, David was an active member of Aperture, the student-run film series. He worked on the location sound crew on several feature films, including END OF THE LINE (1987), STEALING HOME (1988), HOMEBOY (1988), ENEMIES, A LOVE STORY (1989), MORTAL THOUGHTS (1991), and THE INDIAN RUNNER (1991).


For the last thirteen years he has workjed in the film and video production industry, primarily as an editor.  He has also worked as camera operator, grip, electrician, production assistant, sound mixer, assistant producer, and multi-media producer.  Recently, at Conaway Brown, Inc., where he has worked for the last four years, David has made the transition to producer. 


David has acted in six productions at various community theaters in Memphis.  He has recently been cast in Theatre Memphis’ production of “Cloud Nine”, set to open in April of this year.

He began following Buffy The Vampire slayer early in Season Two, and he credits himself with “siring” many current fans that at one point scoffed at “watching this stupid show with the cute girls.”
